




Stacey Berner MD
Dr. Berner joined SCD as a full-time Principal in 2012 after practicing Orthopaedic Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery for 18 years. He served as the medical director of the Hand Centers at Carroll Hospital Center and Northwest Hospital Center in Maryland. He also served as the chief of the division of hand surgery and the medical staff at Northwest Hospital Center. Dr. Berner's professional interests included treating athletic injuries and performing minimally invasive upper extremity surgery. He helped develop and pioneer new techniques in hand and wrist arthroscopy as well as Robotic Surgery. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Berner serves on the editorial board of The Yearbook of Hand Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Berner earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He also completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Christopher Urban MD
Dr. Christopher Urban received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. While at Jefferson, he was an active member in the AOA medical society. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University. Following residency, Dr. Urban remained at Duke for his orthopedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship. Since then, he has been in private practice with Bay Area Orthopaedics. His surgical practice has remained focused on minimally invasive spine surgery. Outpatient spine surgery has become a significant portion of Dr. Urban's practice. After partnering with SurgCenter in 2007, he has worked closely as a member of the SurgCenter development team. This relationship has afforded him the experience of being part of SurgCenter as both a surgeon partner, as well as, a development partner. He now spends the majority of his time with SurgCenter developing and managing surgical centers throughout the United States.

Michael Hogan
Michael Hogan brings 28 years of healthcare experience with Fortune 500 companies to SurgCenter Development. He has worked extensively with physicians in the fields of orthopedics, pain management, otolaryngology, and cardiology clinical trials management. He has also held various positions in market development and business management. His long term and broad based experience has been put to good use at SurgCenter. He has developed numerous ambulatory surgery centers, and is currently working on others in several Midwestern states as a development partner.

Peter Roisman JD
Peter Roisman JD received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1982 and his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1986. He spent most of his business career in the field of sports law and has represented Hall-of-Fame athletes and coaches in basketball, golf and hockey. Mr. Roisman served nearly 20 years as the National Secretary of the 1200-member Sports Lawyers Association. Always an entrepreneur, Mr. Roisman has invested in and helped build a wide variety of businesses, now including two healthcare related companies. Since joining SCD he has developed ambulatory surgical center projects in Utah, Florida, Maryland, Texas, Indiana, California and Louisiana..


H Kell Yang MD
H Kell Yang, MD earned a B.A. from the Univ. of Penn, where he also served his internship. His MD is from N. Y. Medical College and ophthalmology residency from the U. of Maryland. He completed a surgical fellowship under the tutelage of Oram Kline, Jr., M.D. at the Wills Eye Hospital. He and his wife Nancy reside in Columbia, MO and Snowmass Village, CO. Dr. Yang's avid enthusiasm for tennis and alpine skiing is not matched by his skill level. He joined the SurgCenter team in 2004 after helping create a center in Missouri.


Greg Fox MD
Dr. Greg Fox attended Indiana University on a football scholarship. He graduated with highest distinction and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Fox graduated from Northwestern University Medical School with distinction and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Fox served his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Wisconsin, and was appointed chief resident his final year. Next, Dr. Fox was a fellow at the American Sports Medicine Institute, where he trained under world renowned sports medicine surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Dr. Fox currently serves as the Head Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Indiana University Football. He is also the Chief Orthopedic Consultant for the Indiana University Athletic Department. After partnering with SurgCenter in 2008 for a successful project in Bloomington, IN, Dr. Fox joined SurgCenter to help develop and manage surgery centers throughout the United States.
